Dresden audiences already love him, and after the inauguration of the new Steinway grand piano in autumn 2024, which he helped choose for us, it was clear that the connection with Boris Giltburg absolutely had to become a closer artistic partnership! He is now our Artist in Residence for the 2025/2026 season and will be performing works by Rachmaninov, Prokofiev and Ravel in the ›Stars at the Piano‹ series.

Víkingur Ólafsson probably needs little introduction. With his interpretation of Bach's ›Goldberg Variations‹, the charismatic Icelander has caused a sensation in all major concert halls around the world in recent years. But of course he can do more than just Bach! He will be our guest with works by Beethoven, Bach, and Schubert.
